Satia has enjoyed an extensive 27-year career in the security industry. Her career began on the front line in the retail sector, and she quickly progressed to management and leadership roles. Satia has extensive experience in security services and risk management within the public and private sector spanning both strategy and operations. She has played a significant role at C-suite level in various key organisations and has an exceptional record of leading transformational change. As well as being a dedicated security professional, she is an outstanding spokesperson for Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (ED&I) in all of its forms. In addition, Satia is a voluntary CEO of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA) and Chair for the Security Industry ED&I forum. She is also a member of the International Security Expo Advisory Council, and she participates in the Security Industry Authority (SIA) stakeholder forum.
Satia has been highly recognised for her work. She is a winner of the Young Professional of the Year Award for the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) and a finalist in 2022 for the Women in Security Awards (WiS). She was recognised at the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) in 2023 and is also a winner of the BSIA Chairman’s Award in 2023. In addition, Satia is a 2024, NTIA Inclusion and Diversity Advocate award winner and she recently won the Security Buyer’s Woman of the Year award 2024. Thanks to her work promoting the security industry online she has also been named as a Top Influencer by Security Journal (SJ) UK.
