John has an extensive and varied history in the private security sector. He was Executive Officer of the National Association of Healthcare Security and has previously been a Trustee of the British Institute of Learning Disabilities Association of Certified Training, a Scrutiny Panel Member for the Durham Police and Crime Commissioners Office, a Member of the Security Institute, and an Associate Member of the Emergency Planning Society.
John started his career in security within Policing, where he worked in various roles, including as a Hospital and Mental Health Liaison Officer. He also worked with his colleagues to improve safety and security within acute NHS Trusts and supported within the safer neighbourhood team.
Since leaving the Police, John has worked in a range of roles, including Private Investigations, Security Consultancy and Emergency Planning, as well as gaining sales experience within Mitie and as a Director at Bold Security Group. He is now Service Delivery Director at Carlisle Support Services.
Throughout his career, John has retained a passion for improving standards in the industry, especially for those working in frontline roles.
